(Going up the mechanic stairs, it is located next to the Olympic Stadium of Montjuic).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While parents are paying\u00a0the entrances, children are entertained by comparing their hands with those of famous athletes, as\u00a0Araceli Segarra, Franz Beckenbauer, Andr\u00e9s Iniesta o David Villa (to name a few).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic031.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/>A really great detail are the\u00a0enormous (and free) lockers at the entrance where you can leave all your stuff &#8211; backpacks, jackets, water, etc.- and visit the museum in comfort.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>OLYMPICS HISTORY<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Visiting the Olympic Museum with children is a very educational and enriching experience. At the beginning of the route, the area devoted to the history of Olympism explains the origins of the first sports games and the various disciplines that have emerged over time. All very visual and interesting.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>OBJECTS OF FAMOUS SPORTSMEN<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the exhibits at the Olympic Museum are real gems. Not only for being\u00a0old such as those first fencing foils<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic037.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours\" width=\"640\" height=\"492\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">but also for being\u00a0objects of famous athletes,\u00a0\u00a0such\u00a0as these objects of the greatest figures of the tennis of all times.<\/p>\n<p>All marked\u00a0with photographs of famous people for their glory, honor and remembrance.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ALL SPORT DISCIPLINES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Along the route are exposed various sport disciplines, majorities, minorities, Olympic and non-Olympic: football,\u00a0motorcycling, Formula 1, skiing in all its forms, climbing, cycling, canoeing, baseball, chess &#8230;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic060.jpg\" alt=\"museu_olimpic_montjuic060\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>ADAPTED SPORTS AND PARAOLYMPIC<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adapted sports for people with various disabilities are occupying a prominent space in the museum. Among many others you can see from objects of\u00a0<strong>Goalball<\/strong> (soccer for the blind and visually impaired, with a ball which inside has\u00a0bells) to the first racing wheelchair or this adapted sled.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic061.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>&#8220;DIGITAL&#8221; ZONE<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>The video walls area with multiple images of the best moments in sports history is very touching. You can spend hours recalling scenes of the biggest milestones of the sport. We were in the zone\u00a0of touch screens watching the Olympics equestrian jumps in Japan in 1964 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic070.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours zona multimedia\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>OLYMPIC TORCHES<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A display case exposing all the\u00a0Olympic torches makes us think about the amount of magical moments we have lived\u00a0during\u00a0the Olympics history worldwide, when the sacred flame arrives with these torches to the stadium\u00b4s cauldron.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic068.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours antorcha olimpica\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>BARCELONA 92: BEST GAMES OF HISTORY<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">And the journey takes us to Barcelona 92\u200b\u200b, known as the best games ever. The archives that the Olympic Museum of Barcelona has about &#8220;Cobi\u00b4s&#8221; and &#8220;Petra\u00b4s&#8221; Olympics is awesome, as it is supposed to be: from the trappings of the spectacular opening ceremony<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">to objects of athletes, volunteers, etc.. A good opportunity to explain to our children that Barcelona was an Olympic City,\u00a0and for us to remember that unforgettable time for the people of Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic078.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours Cobi\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><strong>COLLECTION JOAN ANTONI SAMARANCH<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The collection of objects belonging to Joan Antoni Samaranch, president of the International Olympic Committee, is impressive. It is not surprising that this museum is named after him. But we were not able to enjoy the sculptures, the paintings, etc. because the girls saw a climbing wall where they\u00a0could climb &#8230; and they rushed toward it!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/barcelonacolours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/museu_olimpic_montjuic090.jpg\" alt=\"Museu_olimpic_Montjuic|Barcelona_Colours_rocodromo\" width=\"640\" height=\"465\" \/><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #33cccc;\"><strong>TOUCH, TOUCH\u00a0AND EXPERIENCE SPORTS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This area is really fun\u00a0for kids and adults: besides the climbing wall, there are various digital installations that you can measure your athletic skills with those of\u00a0famous athletes (long jump, race, height, training or test your reflexes).
