An autumn classic is taking an excursion with children to the Montseny Natural Park,<\/b> which is located about 50 kilometers from Barcelona, between the regions of Osona, Vall\u00e9s Oriental and La Selva. The proximity to Barcelona makes it an easily accessible place for families looking for a different plan near the city. <\/span>A simple excursion which is suitable for all audiences. Also, perfect to do in autumn.<\/b><\/p>\n

2. EXCURSION TO THE BOSC ENCANTAT DE GURB<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

A perfect excursion. When we went to the <\/span>Bosc Encantat de Gurb<\/b>, my son’s whole desire was to look for the wooden figures that were everywhere.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a very short tour, which can be done between half an hour and an hour<\/b>, although logically everything will depend on the time one wants to invest in observing the wood carvings, in reading the phrases that are on posters or in stopping to look for animals hidden in trees or undergrowth. <\/span>It\u2019s great fun for children due to the number of figures that are scattered in it, from a Roman temple for birds to fairies, dragons and animals of all kinds.<\/b><\/p>\n

3. EXCURSION TO THE RIERA DE MARTINET AND THE MONUMENTAL COMPLEX OF AIGUAFREDA<\/b><\/h2>\n

If you are looking for a simple and very pleasant excursion less than an hour’s drive from Barcelona, this is a good proposition. A route knowing the Riera de Martinet to see the pools and spend a quiet time near the water that we lengthen and take the opportunity to know the monumental complex of Aiguafreda.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. EXCURSION TO THE BOSC PINTAT DE POBLET<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The same happened in the <\/span>Bosc Pintat de Poblet<\/b>, there we enjoyed a lot looking for the painted mushrooms in the trees. <\/span>The wall paintings of the trees, the work of Gen\u00eds Colell, are perhaps what most attracts children<\/b>, eager to discover those painted trees scattered throughout the forest.<\/span><\/p>\n

We turn this route almost into a detective game, but it can <\/span>also be given a more pedagogical approach, since next to each wall painting there is a panel that explains the characteristics of the painted mushroom.<\/b><\/p>\n

In one case as in another, some artists have transformed the natural environment in some way and the result has been, from my point of view, fantastic. If, in addition, this allows people to connect with nature and forget about pollution and screens, then everything is better.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. EXCURSION TO THE RIERA DE ARB\u00daCIES<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A couple of weeks ago we went on an <\/span>excursion with children along the Arb\u00facies stream (La Selva, Girona)<\/b>, a town that lies between the Guilleries and the Montseny. A perfect excursion to do with the family and disconnect from the city. Do you sign up? The beauty of the surroundings, where water plays a leading role, as well as easy access, makes this municipality a very frequented place. From Barcelona it takes just over an hour by car and I assure you that the walk along the stream is well worth that hour by car.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. EXCURSION TO THE SANT LLOREN\u00c7 DE MUNT PARK<\/b><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

An excursion to the Sant Lloren\u00e7 de Munt i L\u2019Obac Natural Park is a perfect plan for a day trip. There are many routes to do depending on the levels and ages of the little ones. An immersion in the middle of nature where you can admire the landscapes, the flora, and the native fauna of the place, as well as a walk through the beautiful town of Talamanca.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. EXCURSION TO THE FAGEDA D\u2019EN JORD\u00c0<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A plan that you cannot miss is to visit the Fageda d’en Jord\u00e0, a natural reserve famous for its beech forest that, in an exceptional way, grows on the lava of the Croscat volcano.<\/span><\/p>\n

It can be visited on foot, following one of the different itineraries that they mark and that have their starting point from the Can Serra car park. Another fun way to visit the Fageda d\u2019en Jord\u00e0 is on horseback. A tour of one hour, approx, is organized in which you visit the beech and they tell you anecdotes and curiosities of the area.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. DISCOVER MURA AS A FAMILY<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

A getaway to the town of Mura, in the Bages region, a few kilometers from Barcelona and in the heart of the Sant Lloren\u00e7 del Munt i l’Obac Natural Park. The town itself is so interesting that your visit is essential, with its medieval charm very well preserved and not overcrowded so it becomes an ideal and quiet excursion. 9. EXCURSION TO NURIA WITH THE FAMILY<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Visiting Nuria with children is a good plan. You can spend the day with the family in the mountains. A two-hour drive from Barcelona is the perfect getaway from the city. You are going to be super relaxed! And if you prefer to go by train, you have the possibility of arriving super easily. There you can take walks in the mountains, enjoy the lake and its views. 10. ROUTE DELS GORGS DE LA GARROTXA<\/b><\/strong><\/h2>\n

An excursion a little further from Barcelona but with a brutal charm is the Gorgs de la Garrotxa route. Near Les Planes d’Hortoles there are some pools or “gorgs” that you can visit and that are a spectacle of nature. Along the Brugent River and one of its tributaries. There are different pools and they are worth seeing. <\/span>The best known pools or Gorgs are: the Mol\u00ed dels Murris pool, the Santa Margarida pool, the Can Poeti pool and the La Plana pool.<\/b> Access by vehicle is restricted, so you have to park in the designated places, and get there on foot through the marked itineraries.<\/span><\/p>\n
