How to get to PortAventura from Barcelona

PortAventura World is located in Salou, on the Costa Dorada, about 100 kilometers south of Barcelona. There are several convenient options to reach the park from the city, whether you’re traveling by car or prefer public transport.

  • By car (approximately 1 hour – 1h15 min). Taking the AP-7 or C-32 motorway south, you’ll reach the park in just over an hour, depending on traffic. The park is well signposted and has a large paid parking lot right next to the entrance. Ideal if you want flexibility or are traveling with small children and luggage.

  • By train (approximately 1h10 – 1h30 min). Renfe offers direct trains from Barcelona-Sants to the PortAventura station, which is just a 5-minute walk from the park entrance. There are currently works in progress, so it’s best to check the Renfe website.

  • By bus (approximately 1h30 – 2h). Several companies, such as BusPlana, offer direct services from various points in Barcelona (airport, city center, Sants station) to PortAventura. It’s a great alternative if you don’t want to worry about driving or parking. The journey can be a bit longer depending on traffic and intermediate stops.
