Every concert is created especially for children. A team of educators, composers, musicians, choreographers and stage directors work to make their first musical experience unique and special. Their educational project is centred on:

“Impact to interest, experience to feel, and learn to love music”
They also offer workshops within their programme designed for families as an activity prior to the concert, helping them prepare for what they’ll enjoy afterwards.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES — FIRST QUARTER OF 2026-2027
WORKSHOP FOR BABIES

L’Auditori de Barcelona offers a sound experience designed for families with babies aged 0 to 12 months, in which you’ll discover resources to stimulate the senses of the little ones through music. It’s a space for listening and play to enrich and share the first musical experiences as a family, within L’Auditori’s renowned educational project, with 26 years of history and close to 150,000 participants each season. MUSICAL MORNING FOR PREGNANT WOMEN

L’Auditori de Barcelona offers a proposal designed for pregnant women who wish to connect with their baby through sound before birth. The activity includes an introduction to the importance of music during pregnancy, an experiential and personal experimentation workshop, and a very special concert for mother and baby. It’s part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of this proposal within L’Auditori’s family programme. Days: October 4, 2026; February 7 and April 11, 2027. Schedule: in the morning, depending on session. Location: L’Auditori de Barcelona, C/ Lepant 150, Barcelona. A concert of Legend. Fairies, goblins, monsters and mythological characters from around the world are the starting point of this concert designed for the little ones. Through these legendary characters, we’ll travel across the five continents and discover sounds characteristic of these cultures. Don’t miss the most monstrous concert in L’Auditori’s programme! Free pre-concert talk included with the ticket, 1 hour before the concert, given by educator Núria Palau. She’ll tell you fun facts about the concert, the musicians, the instruments… Don’t miss it! Duration: 30′. The activity includes an educational booklet with teaching materials to use before and after the concert, and is linked to the Monstres Family Workshop, with the option to purchase the workshop + concert package.

TOY BOX- a concert for all the family

Toy Box is a family proposal by the OBC, based on the music for the ballet La boîte à joujoux (literally: the toy box) by Claude Debussy. This concert will have you enjoying and dancing along to a whole soundscape with a French flavour. Melodies by composers Georges Bizet, Stravinsky and Catalan composer Frederic Mompou join Debussy in providing the soundtrack to street games and childhood scenes. This wonderful world of light, music and dance will be conducted by Beatriz Fernández, former assistant conductor of the Barcelona Municipal Band, recently awarded at the La Maestra competition in Paris. It will also feature striking, colour-filled staging by Marta Pazos that immerses us in the world of childhood. TUTTI FAN PIU

A concert to take flight. Ducks, hens, parrots, ostriches and penguins are the musical stars of this family show, inviting families on a sonic journey through music from very different eras, styles and territories. Five musicians in imaginative costumes will fill the hall with melodies that get the audience dancing and singing, featuring sounds from unusual instruments and pieces by Tchaikovsky, Saint-Saëns, The Beatles and popular music from different cultures. This musical and educational proposal is designed to connect with little ones from age 1 and explore the world through music and its rhythms.

ELS COLORS DEL METALL

L’Auditori de Barcelona brings back Els colors del metall, a classic with over twenty years of history within its educational project, now with a renewed staging. Two trumpets, a horn, a trombone, a tuba and even a sousaphone invite little ones to discover, listen to and enjoy the sound of brass instruments in a fun, hands-on and participatory way, through a musical journey across very diverse styles: classical music, popular songs, jazz and pieces created especially for the occasion.

SOMNIS DE MÚSIC

L’Auditori de Barcelona invites families into a world where Mendelssohn’s imagination blends with the excitement and energy of the new generations. Young performers from the JONC and the voices of the Amics de la Unió Children’s Choir bring excerpts from A Midsummer Night’s Dream to life with infectious energy: without a score, with open bodies and gazes, they share with the audience the joy of making music together, in a vibrant experience that introduces the symphonic repertoire to the youngest audiences. The activity includes a free pre-concert talk, one hour before the concert, given by educator Núria Palau, with fun facts about the work, the musicians and the instruments.
