FAMILY CONCERTS IN L’AUDITORI

Each concert is tailored for children. A team of pedagogues, composers, musicians, choreographers and stage directors work to make your first musical experience unique and special. His educational project focuses on:

“Impact to interest, experiment to feel and learn to love music”

They also offer workshops designed for families as a pre-concert activity in which they prepare for what they are going to enjoy later.

FAMILY ACTIVITIES FROM SEPTEMBER TO DECEMBER

Have you ever heard the sound of a gamelan? This is an instrumental ensemble from the islands of Bali and Java, in Indonesia, made up of percussion instruments and gongs with a richly timbral sound. Accompany Balinese theater and dance rituals and shows. In this workshop you will be able to play it and discover its fascinating sound!

OUT OF THE CAGE

Get out of the cage and dare to enter a world where sound, noise and silence are organized to become music. Share the journey through this limitless sound universe with four percussionists who stage compositions from the 21st century, based on the artistic imagination of one of the great figures of the 20th: John Cage (1912-1992). Leave your prejudices behind, open your senses. Expect the unexpected.‎ Free pre-talk with admission to the concert. On November 17, at 11 a.m., come with the whole family and enjoy the talk given by pedagogue Pepe Reche. He will explain curiosities about the concert, the musicians, the instruments…

TOY BOX- a concert for the whole family

Toy Box is the OBC’s new family proposal, based on the music for the ballet La boîte à joujoux (literally: the toy box) by Claude Debussy. This concert will make you enjoy and dance a whole universe of sound with a French flavor. The melodies of the composers Georges Bizet, Stravinsky and the Catalan Frederic Mompou accompany Debussy when providing the soundtrack of music and sounds of games in the street and children’s scenes.

This wonderful world of light, music and dance will be conducted by Beatriz Fernández, who was deputy director of the Barcelona Municipal Band and who has recently been awarded in the La Maestra de Paris competition. It will also feature a surprising and colorful stage performance by Marta Pazos that will take us into the universe of childhood.

MONSTRES

Fairies, goblins, monsters and mythological characters from all over the world are the starting point of this concert designed for the little ones. Based on these legendary characters, we will travel across the five continents and discover characteristic sounds of these cultures. Don’t miss the most monstrous concert on our schedule!

ZOOM. DIES DE MÚSIC

Choreographer Cesc Gelabert challenges the imagination of the Jonc fry. The average age on stage is no more than eighteen years old, but the talent of these very young musicians will leave you speechless. The new generations of classical music in Catalonia reveal to us music by Britten, Stravinsky, Toldrà, Beethoven and Rameau with a stage presentation, a zoom on the musicians, their movements and emotions.

Free prior talk with admission to the concert. Come with the whole family one hour before the concert and enjoy the talk given by pedagogue Nuria Palau. He will explain curiosities about the concert, the musicians, the instruments…
