We absolutely love them. It’s also a fun plan because restaurants that offer CALÇOTADES near Barcelona usually have open spaces, and some even provide activities and special menus for children. CALÇOTADA RESTAURANTS TO GO WITH KIDS

Today we want to share with you the best restaurants and traditional farmhouses to enjoy CALÇOTADES. You don’t need to go far from Barcelona to enjoy a CALÇOTADA with children.

CAN BORRELL RESTAURANT

A farmhouse located in Collserola, near Sant Cugat del Vallès, specifically on the road from Horta to Cerdanyola del Vallès, in an idyllic and very family-friendly setting. From November onwards, they already organize CALÇOTADES and also offer two types of children’s menus depending on the kids’ ages. It’s worth spending the whole day in the area, as the surroundings offer plenty of family activities such as hiking or cycling routes.  They offer children’s and junior menus (ages 10 to 14), as well as CALÇOTADA menus.

CAN VINYANOVA RESTAURANT

One of our favorite restaurants. In El Bruc, at the foot of Montserrat mountain, you’ll find a large restaurant perfect for CALÇOTADES. Ideal for families, with space to play football, a small animal farm, ponies, and play areas. They have different CALÇOTADA menus, and the food is high quality.In addition to the traditional CALÇOTADA, their menu is very varied. After lunch, we suggest a walk around the area or even a visit to the famous Coves de Collbató to make the day perfect. You’ll love the surroundings and the service. Perfect for families with children.

CAN FARELL RESTAURANT

The Masía Restaurant Can Farell, in Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana, specifically on the road from Caldas to Granollers, has become in recent years an ideal family destination for CALÇOTADES thanks to the spacious dining rooms and, of course, the area dedicated exclusively to children. Can Farell has eight dining rooms, each with its own charm, making this farmhouse a typical family destination during CALÇOTADA season. And of course, they’ve thought about the little ones too: children have their own space called Fort Farell, a leisure area with an outdoor playground where they can run, swing, and slide, as well as an indoor playroom with games and drawing materials.

CAN SALA RESTAURANT

A traditional restaurant in Montornès del Vallès, well known for its CALÇOTADES and traditional Catalan cuisine, and very popular with families since it’s one of the few that has an unbeatable attraction for kids: a farm. Can Sala offers children’s activities on their farm, where kids can ride ponies, go on horse-drawn cart rides, or play with goats and rabbits. All activities are supervised by monitors who ensure their safety and make the experience unforgettable. They also offer a children’s menu.

DEVESA RESTAURANT

A traditional Catalan restaurant offering market cuisine, specialized in CALÇOTADES and all kinds of events, with a long family tradition now run by the third generation. La Devesa is located 15 minutes from Barcelona, on the road from Badalona to Montcada, and is also well known in the area for its cargolades. An ideal restaurant to visit with children, as it features large garden areas outdoors and a playground where kids can enjoy games and a sunny day.

CAN CORTÉS RESTAURANT

A classic CALÇOTADA spot on the Arrabassada road, between Barcelona and Sant Cugat del Vallès, very popular with groups with children. They offer a children’s menu and have a large play area (both indoor and outdoor) with monitors who entertain the kids. One of our favorites due to its proximity to Barcelona and how convenient it is for families and groups with children of all ages.

L’ERA RESTAURANT

L’Era is an ideal restaurant to visit with children, located in Arenys de Munt. It offers a slightly different restaurant concept, as children are the main focus. Everything is designed so families can enjoy themselves without stress. The children’s menu is very complete, and once kids finish eating, monitors take them to group activities including games, face painting, workshops, a playroom, and a small chicken coop. A very family-friendly restaurant, perfect for group meals where kids will have an amazing time.

LA PEDRERA RESTAURANT

Located in Canyelles del Garraf, this restaurant offers different CALÇOTADA menus and, depending on the size of your group, even free activities for adults such as archery. Children are more than welcome, making it highly recommended for families, with an outdoor area supervised by monitors who entertain the kids before and after meals. There’s a playground with swings, a dirt play area for younger children with different games, and a football field.
